Carmen:

and Carmen.

Cristina:

Watch with us.

Carmen:

Okay, Hi everyone. This is Carmen

Cristina:

and Cristina.

Carmen:

And today we're recapping and talking shit about Episode Six of Teresa.

Cristina:

I can't believe we're in six already.

Carmen:

Oh, I know. So why don't you tell me what happened in this episode?

Cristina:

Oh, no, let's let's summarize the characters.

Carmen:

Oh,

Cristina:

yeah, we had a great suggestion by a listener and fellow podcaster, Swatch of Horrors. Which you listen to it right, Carmen?

Carmen:

Yeah, I really like it. Because I am really into like, you know, makeup and like beauty stuff. Getting my nails done getting my lashes done. I miss getting facials, well, I only did it once. But it was the best experience of my life. You know, all of that.

Cristina:

And I do nothing of the sort. But if you're like Carmen

Carmen:

That way. It doesn't get confusing because yeah, not ,And you should everyone is rewatching even though you should be

Cristina:

I know, I know.

Carmen:

You need to treat yourself like,

Cristina:

yeah, if you like that you'll probably love swatch of even though you should be watching. Anyway, she she sugested that we recap the, not recap but horrors too.

Carmen:

Yeah. summarize all the characters say who everyone is and what we call them.

Cristina:

But we'll re watch for you.

Carmen:

Yeah, yeah. So of course Teresa is the main character. Her sister, but yeah, let's start with her family. Yeah, that won't be confusing. So, Rosa is her 15 year old sister. And

Cristina:

who loves gymnastics

Carmen:

Oh, yeah, her life revolves around gymnastics. Doa Refugio is her sourpuss mom. Amargada ass mom. And Don Armando is her dad, who is a car mechanic that doesn't dress like a car mechanic.

Cristina:

Yes. And then we have her love interest, the love of her life is Mariano, right? Future Dr. Mariano, current taxi driver

Carmen:

Sexy ass Mariano

Cristina:

Yeah, beautiful, beautiful Mariano. Yes. Then I do not know his dad's name. But we always

Carmen:

I still don't know his dad's name either. I know. But I just thought of it now.

Cristina:

I like it. And then we have, let's see. doa Juana is Teresa, Teresa's godmother

Carmen:

godmother, also known as the neighborhood chismosa.

Cristina:

Yeah.

Carmen:

Also known as the neighborhood. prude.

Cristina:

Yes.

Carmen:

And the seamstress of the neighborhood.

Cristina:

Yes, yeah, she makes really good stuff for she makes all of Teresa's outfits. And then we have mariachi guy.

Carmen:

We don't know his name either.

Cristina:

I think it's Cumberto.

Carmen:

But that's not a real name.

Cristina:

Yes. Yeah. And then we have Esperanza. She is Teresa's friend, the nurse who doesn't have a job? Who is

Carmen:

the nurse whose real job is to be a sidepiece full time sidepiece, it leaves her no time to work.

Cristina:

No time to work. Then we have Johnny. Johnny is

Carmen:

her brother.

Cristina:

Yes, her brother. Rosa's love interest. He works-

Carmen:

30 year old high school dropout. And we say that because so if you haven't watched it, then you wouldn't know I guess how old he looks but he's playing he's either playing someone in their late teens or early 20s but he looks 30

Cristina:

he looks 40

Carmen:

I, don't exaggerate

Cristina:

I think, we're, okay cuz we're almost we're close to 30 and we look way younger than him.

Carmen:

We look younger. Okay, I don't want to sound like I don't want to sound like

Cristina:

weird flex.

Carmen:

Yeah, yeah. Cool flex. He's on on the on the worst end of looking 30

Cristina:

it Yeah, that's Johnny. Oh My bad. Yeah, but they show him his episode.

Unknown:

she's her enemy. Paulo. She loves Paylo, right and Pualo is-

Carmen:

Ada loves Paulo?

Cristina:

Yeah, not Teresa. Pa lo is Teresa's ex and he is s ill all hung up on her right? A d she doesn't care except that s

Carmen:

well we should have said? Ada's parents. e wants revenge on him. So t at's Paulo. We have Paulo's mo ,

Cristina:

Oh, shit. Yes.

Carmen:

So Ada's dad is Rubn, we see a lot of Him because he

Cristina:

So she will be referred to Ada's mom. Paulo, which we already talked about. Paulo's is the man whore mom is Genoveva. We'll learn more about her later. She has an important, not important but sort of more important role than she does right now. or later.

Carmen:

Does she? I don't remember that.

Cristina:

Yeah. She's the side, she I think she's the next sidepiece for Ruben.

Carmen:

Oh, I thought he liked him young.

Cristina:

No, no, he is into her. No, he doesn't. But he does like them young

Carmen:

not ageist

Cristina:

all of them.

Carmen:

Wow,

Cristina:

I guess that's it

Carmen:

no!

Cristina:

Oh, shit. Profe! Creepy profe.

Carmen:

Okay, so what's his name? Arturo de la Barrera?

Cristina:

Yes.

Carmen:

So he is the profe, creepy profe. One time I refer to him as hot profe, but really his creepiness overcomes and I can't Okay, so we have profe, creepy profe

Cristina:

yes

Carmen:

Arturo de la Barrera and we're never going to call him that, we're gonna call him profe, creepy profe

Cristina:

Yes. Um, he is Teresa's former teacher? Current bene-? No. Current. Yes. Um, he is Teresa's former teacher? Current bene-? No. Current. I feel like that's everyone. Yes. And she is very boring. Yeah. we got all the main people.

Carmen:

Yeah, yeah. The side characters. Yeah, I think we got mostly everyone. Okay, so now, tell me what happens in this episode.

Cristina:

Okay, so in this episode, it was jam packed. I feel.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Okay. So Teresa goes to the book signing. Rosa has a competition, Rosa...

Carmen:

some tragedy happens.

Cristina:

Yeah, there's a big big tragedy.

Carmen:

Tragic.

Cristina:

Tragic AF. At the party. Teresa meets people

Carmen:

flirts with old men.

Cristina:

Yeah, flirts with old men.

Carmen:

You're horrible at this. I'm gonna do this. Okay, wow, you suck.

Cristina:

Well, you re summarize it.

Carmen:

Okay, well I mean, you already said it so Teresa goes to a big party which she ditches her family for. She flirts with creepy old men do,Ruben, her enemy shows up. They have a little verbal catfight. Let's see. Yeah, Rosa has a big competition and something tragic happens there. I think that's the main the main things that happen.

Cristina:

Yes, that sounds good. That sounds better than mine.

Carmen:

Yeah. Sounds way better. Well, never asking you again. Sorry, go on.

Cristina:

No, you're right. I should not do this again. It'll be your thing. Okay, so we start out with Teresa rubbing Profe's hand, saying, well, where we left off.

Carmen:

I know.

Cristina:

Yeah. But it's super funny cuz they keep zooming on his face. Like, the more he looks, the more they zoom in on his face as she's rubbing his hand. It just looks very funny. Yeah. And then we go to the competition where Johnny goes to the locker rooms to see it Rosa before the competition starts

Carmen:

brings her, oh never mind, I thought he brought her flowers, but he doesn't. It would've been nice though Johnny.

Cristina:

Well, Johnny can't afford flowers. He's the hand at the mechanic shop.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

So he's like, are you okay? Are you feeling fine? Are you feeling dizzy? And then she's like, Yeah, but there's like some thought going on in my head, like that's spinning. And he's like, Whoa, I thought you weren't dizzy and Rosa's like ay, no seas menso. And

Carmen:

I mean, I guess metaphors aren't his? forte. That's how you say that, right?

Cristina:

Yeah.

Carmen:

So then, she wants to dedicate her medal to him if she wins when she wins, whatever. But she doesn't want people to find out. They're dating. And he's like, Oh, just look at me.

Cristina:

No, no. Give me a little look. And I'll know and then they do their little pinky promise.

Carmen:

Yeah. Because they're fifteen

Cristina:

so then we go to what Esperanza right? We, well

Carmen:

Yeah, we're still at the competition.

Cristina:

And I know I know, it's not our date, or whatever. Esperanza makes it and then she's like, Okay, I gotta go. And then Doa Nachita is like, n , no, stay for like, at least 1 minutes. And she's like, it's m first day of work. I can't s ay and then Doa Nachita is l ke whaaat

Carmen:

her web of lies. Is unraveling. Catching up to her.

Cristina:

on pablito on his medicine She's gonna get caught the fuck up? like, No, you don't have to pay him back or pay me back. And then Mariano's like, nonsense. I'm gonna pay you back. I would have been like, all right. I have no shame. I would not have paid him back. If he told me I don't have to pay it back and be like, Okay, I'm not paying you back.

Carmen:

Like, why are you? Why are you making yourself like a martyr and like, like, struggle when you don't have to? You know, I mean, but I guess I guess that money seems like doing an honorable thing. Whatever. Yeah, whatever.

Cristina:

It's okay to to.

Carmen:

They don't need you to pay them back. Don't pay them back. Like it's cool.

Cristina:

Yeah. So he asks him if he knows the doctor treating Pablito and he's like, yeah, that's my bro.

Carmen:

And I'm like, Is there no HIPAA laws here?

Cristina:

HIPAA doesn't exist in telenovelas

Carmen:

or any and that's true. People know what HIPAA is right? privacy, whatever. It's a privacy law. Okay, well, Mariano is being a metiche, asks if he knows that doctor and doctors like Yeah, of course. That's my brosky and then they work together. Yeah, though. He says they he works here with me. We work here together. And then we cut back to the book launch party. And this is where Ruben is being a creep. Yeah, so Ruben is being a creep. Fuck I can't even say it. He's thanking- Oh, it's not even funny. Like,

Cristina:

I know

Carmen:

I'm just laughing and it makes it worse because then people think it's gonna be hilarious and it's just like, like mid level funny.

Cristina:

It's gonna be basic.

Carmen:

Yeah. The profe thanks I mean, not to Ruben thanks the profe for presenting him to Teresa basically

Cristina:

Wait, where do they even intro- we don't even see they, met

Carmen:

they already met. They met in the last episode. And so now they come back to the party. And Ruben is like, oh, thank you for introducing me to that hot piece of ass. And and then Teresa is like, I don't know, it's like an open concept home. And there's a wall or

Cristina:

like a hallway wall with a hole in

Carmen:

like a fake window. You know how sometimes like a hallway will have a fake window and it will see into the next room,

Cristina:

but it was like open it was like a straight up hole in the wall. Like a square hole.

Carmen:

Yeah, like a fake window. Yeah, so he's like, Teresa is so beautiful. You with her? Are you hitting that Are you hitting that

Cristina:

creepy Profe offended by the by the thought of this

Carmen:

which is like weird to me because he was clearly being a weirdo beforehand.

Cristina:

sir your chair rubbing says otherwise.

Carmen:

Yeah, he's like, straight up feeling on the chair. Like, staring at her like, you know, like those like that eye contact? It's like that I want you eye contact me. Yeah. Well, you know that that look that all the other shows all the movie stars do whenever he was checking her out or being the chair being like, sexually suggestive. So just, I don't think I said that right, whatever, to her.

Cristina:

Despite that, he's like, what me? Date a former student, the best student? No, she is my brightest student, and I'm just here to pay her education. How dare you suggest this? i'm not like you

Carmen:

And Ruben is, like, What? You can still date?

Cristina:

Nothing wrong with that. And he's like, Well, sometimes things get boring at

Carmen:

And then you have that on profe is like, Well, I'm not home. a fucking hoe, like you bitch, even though you're married. And my wife just sees me as a provider. So that allows me to go cheat on her. But like, Okay, if you didn't want your wife to just see you as a provider, then why are you still, like embodying this traditional, you know, roles, like you don't have it doesn't have to be that way. You know, I mean, she was like, because Mexico, right? But if you're complaining about it, then why are you doing it? I'm just saying, I'm just saying you can't have it both ways. You cannot. You can't complain about being a provider, but also want to be a provider and want your wife to be a stay at home wife, right? Like, yeah, if that's what you want, then like, respect your choices, like, don't you know what I mean? Like it just it to me like it doesn't fucking compute. It doesn't.

Cristina:

He says, you have a daughter. How, why are you speaking this way? He's like, she's never gonna see the side of me. And

Carmen:

Yeah, Teresa's like, hahaha she's, like, in the background, you just made the biggest mistake of your life

Cristina:

which she says to herself,

Carmen:

I'm ready for it. Yeah, she does. I've always wanted to witness something. But my life is just not that dramatic. And you know, to to witness something and then tell myself that I'm going use this against you.

Cristina:

This is gonna be good.

Carmen:

Just wait.

Cristina:

Yeah.

Carmen:

biggest mistake of your life

Cristina:

and so the revenge that she is planning against Aida

Carmen:

Is she gonna

Cristina:

will involve the dad

Carmen:

Is she gonna hook up with him?

Cristina:

Yeah. Did you ever watch Shameless?

Carmen:

Oh, I watched like the like first, I don't know, few episodes, and then they never kept watching it because it just reminds me of my work.

Cristina:

Okay, it is very, very triggering. I can only watch a like a season.

Carmen:

I'm like, why are they still with him?

Cristina:

Oh, it's horrible. I can't Yeah,

Carmen:

yeah,

Cristina:

it's bad. Because it just it's just too close to home. You like we knew people like this, like,

Carmen:

Yes.

Cristina:

It wasn't it us because our parents weren't alcoholics like,

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

but we knew people that were in this situations. But there's a- if if you haven't watched all of shameless, and you're doing it right now skip ahead, because I'm going to spoil something.

Carmen:

It's hella old isn't it? Or is there new episode?

Cristina:

Yeah, but like, I just watched that a few months ago.

Carmen:

Okay, though, okay.

Cristina:

Well, anyway, so the there's the family, right? And one of the brothers is lip and the girl that he's dating is like, super trash, too, but, and also traumatized. But she sleeps with the dad like, and then puts it out on the internet.

Carmen:

Like as revenge?

Cristina:

She does it in revenge to her dad.

Carmen:

What about him though?

Cristina:

poor Lip Yeah, she Yeah.

Carmen:

Wow. Doesn't matter. But yeah, she does it to her own dad. Like, and then the dad, com- Mitts? Oh, yeah. Wow.

Cristina:

Yeah. So I feel like Teresa's revenge is gonna do something with sleeping Aida's dad.

Carmen:

I think so too, because she's been flirting with him back.

Cristina:

Yeah.

Carmen:

Okay, so then now we're back at the competition. Rosa stretching and there's literally no point to the same because she's just stretching and then it cuts back to the profe's

Cristina:

Then were back at the party, Teresa suddenly gets a house. headache, but I think this is her just trying to leave trying to leave.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Sister profe is passing by right?

Carmen:

She's concerned. She's tells her she has a headache. But she's embarrassed to leave the party early. And then Luisa offers her to get some get her some pills. And then she says she's gonna go,

Cristina:

yeah, as she leaves.

Carmen:

Then Aida walks in.

Cristina:

And she's like, oh my god. Oh my god. Why are you here?

Carmen:

she's like why the fuck do I see you everywhere? And then she's like, yeah, I'm fucking here.

Cristina:

And you're gonna see me everywhere still bitch,

Carmen:

mhmm

Cristina:

So she's like, what an unpleasant surprise it is to see you here and she's like oh, I'm gonna have more unpleasant suprises

Carmen:

speaking of surprises. Wait till you see what I have up my sleeve speaking of surprises wait till I get my revenge. Wait til you see,

Cristina:

this surprise wait til I sleep with your dad. The whole time this is happening. I feel like it's the jaws background music

Carmen:

Yeah, it's like hella dramatic

Cristina:

Yeah,Teresa is the shark. Then we go back to the competition. Don Armando is like why are you cheering cheering for my daughter? Johnny.

Carmen:

I'm like, damn fool. Let him cheer

Cristina:

He's being hella extra.

Carmen:

But yeah, oh, he is he is okay. Then they have the dumbest name ever. El equipo blanco, but then I realize-

Cristina:

they all have names like

Carmen:

yeah, color names, like the next one

Cristina:

This is like when you're in school, and you'll have to come up with a team name. And I would be like team Cristina. And they'd be like, No, nobody wants that team name.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Like, why do you not

Carmen:

it also reminds that episode of The Office when when they're at the beach. And then I don't remember which color it was anymore. But Michael's, like to Stanley's team, you guys are going to be the blue team. And he's like, no, the red team just because he hates Michael, you know? Yeah, it reminded me of that

Cristina:

this is where Jim and Jim's team his team Voldemort right?

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Because Because Dwight said he's team Griffyndor.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

And they're like Voldemort, Voldemort. I love that episode.

Carmen:

Yeah, me too.

Cristina:

I love the office.

Carmen:

Johnny's been extra with this cheering, Armando is like Shut the fuck up, you're gonna distract her. And then they're doing flips, whatever. We come back to the book launch in Aida is like, I swear, if you try to get back with Paulo, I'm gonna like, I don't know. She's threatening her.

Cristina:

This isn't even in Teresa's plan

Carmen:

No, no,

Cristina:

she doesn't know the horrible revenge. She has planned.

Carmen:

Yeah. And then Teresa is like I don't even like the fool anymore. And then Ruben sees Aida and talking to Teresa and he walks over there. And he's like, oh, whatever, are you guys friends or something? Whatever he says. And then

Cristina:

Oh Teresa tells me you guys are friends.

Carmen:

Oh, yeah, yeah,

Cristina:

Teresa is like, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. friendship. Yeah. I don't count on the friendship of your daughter.

Carmen:

We're just classmates. No, I hate her. She's the worst. And then Teresa walks away. Right?

Cristina:

Yeah.

Carmen:

And she starts telling Ruben about she doesn't like her because that's Paulo's ex and blah, blah, blah. And then Ruben is like, whatever, he's bored with it, because I don't think this is yet where she says that she's a muerta de hambre.

Cristina:

No, not yet. They show her calling Paulo.

Carmen:

Yeah. So then Ruben is ored with his daughter's drama. Oh, yeah, that's right.Yeah, I forgot about that e's like, shit fucking sucks. A d he walks away. And then, and t en we cut to Aurora.

Cristina:

She says you won't believe who I saw here. And then we cut to the hospital. Mariano is leaving. Then we see Aurora. She's like, Oh, hey, by the way, that deal still up if you want to come to my house and my many cars, and he's like, Oh, you know what, I'm not gonna have time I just enrolled back in school. She's like, oh, what you're back in medicine. I'm studying medicine. And then they're all excited about that. And then the doctor comes back out. He's like, Oh, hey, my

Carmen:

Yeah. And like, Oh, I gotta brotato. And it's like, brosky is available. Now. He wants to come talk to you about Pablito. oh, I gotta go. And it was like, don't worry. Don't worry, blah, blah.

Cristina:

Yeah. And so we go back to the party. And Paulo is already there. That was fast as fuck. Like, was he waiting? Like, for a call or something?

Carmen:

Dude, he was there hella fast.

Cristina:

he sped

Carmen:

Oh, I can only imagine they all live in the same neighborhood like the same rich side of town. Yeah, so maybe he was down the street

Cristina:

Teresa sees both of them. And then she's like, Oh, I hope that he treats you

Carmen:

as good as he treated me because he was like waiting, you know, hand and foot for me. You know? He was in, My like, what is it

Cristina:

desposicion? I don't know what

Carmen:

like on call, like being on call like for work but for Teresa.

Cristina:

And she's like, that's because you were poor and you couldn't get anywhere

Carmen:

he needed to take you everywhere. And Teresa is like no, anything. I asked him he did. And she's right. And he doesn't treat them the same way. No, like

Cristina:

they're not even together except for in front of Teresa.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

And so Paulo is like I treat her better than you. And then she's like she pulls a mean girls a Regina George

Carmen:

Why are so obsessed with me. Also, that's also pulling a Mariah Carey.

Cristina:

Oh, you're right. Mariah Carey. Yeah, both

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Because they both say that. Yeah. Iconic line.

Carmen:

Mm hmm.

Cristina:

Why are you so obsessed with me? Anyway, they are very obsessed with her. So then she leaves and Aida Finally, we think at a time I thought she was finally growing some selfself worth,

Carmen:

I think for that time she did for that second

Cristina:

I think she only did it because her mom said it would work and she's not doing it because she actually doesn't want Paulo or

Carmen:

she doesn't do it because she actually has some self esteem.

Cristina:

She's no she's doing it because she thinks it's gonna work that Paulo is gonna want her more. That's why she's doing it.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

So that's not why you're supposed to be doing it. You're supposed to be doing it because you you're like eff this

Carmen:

have values for yourself. And you're like,

Cristina:

right,

Carmen:

I'm not gonna be begging for no man, you know? Yeah. But that's not the case for Aida.

Cristina:

No.

Carmen:

Well, she basically just tells Paulo like, no, I like you don't like me, whatever. Like we're not gonna do this anymore. And she wants to be. And so then Teresa runs into Luisa again. And then Luisa is being a clumsy dork

Cristina:

fucking runs into a waiter like a loser.

Carmen:

Yeah. And then Teresa is like, Oh, I'm so sorry. Because she is kissing Luisa's ass. And Luisa seems grateful. And I think this is this is where Luisa changes her opinion of Teresa

Cristina:

about Teresa, yeah. So then we go back to Dr. Broski. Doctor.

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

talking to Mariano. And he fears that Pablitoo has a tumor. Mariano's, like asking for the truth. But isn't that the truth? Like, he's like, I'm afraid he has a tumor. And then Mariano is like, tell me the truth. They're my neighbors. But yeah, like that was very honest. Anyway, and then the doctor thinks that he Esperanza's boyfriend at first.

Carmen:

He thought it was the boyfriend that is not letting her work. And then Mariano's like, No, I'm just a concerned neighbor, a longtime friend.

Cristina:

Long, lifetime friend. lifetime neighbor. Yeah. So then we go back to the competition. And I thought Team Rosa, Equipo Rosa was Rosa's team but it's just the the team that has the color.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

I was like what kind of name is this? We come back to Mariano and his dad. His dad is coming back from a trip.

Carmen:

He's like a trucker or something.

Cristina:

Yeah, truck driver. And he's like, telling him they have like a cute, proud moment where he's like, your mom wanted you to do it. So proud of you.

Carmen:

Whatever Mariano is wearing a tank top and we could see his beautiful muscles. That's all he got from that scene. I don't know what else happened.

Cristina:

Yeah,I do like that. They like kiss each other on the cheek when they see each other like,

Carmen:

yeah, they're affectionate, like a parent should be with their kid. And you know, not like these men out here.

Cristina:

Yeah, right. Yeah, I was going to say I love it more because they're like, a son and a dad. A grown son and mad. Oh, and man.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

You don't see that often.

Carmen:

Yeah. Sometimes they even want to hug and I'm like, All right. I'll give you a hug. Because it just is one time. Yeah. Yeah.

Cristina:

So hug your kids, love your kids. Be affectionate

Carmen:

then they leave you

Cristina:

Yeah. So we go back to the party. Aida is walking around, and she goes to talk to a creepy profe. And he's like, I know you wouldn't have come here if it wasn't for your dad savored garbage

Carmen:

calls her on her bull shit. yeah,

Cristina:

yeah, he's not buying it. And then she's like, whatever. And he's like, I'm not gonna sign my book, read it instead. He's being so harsh.

Carmen:

The difference within the way he talks to her and Teresa, but I like to give like to, like, not in a creepy way. I think he just sees a difference between like, a student like Teresa, who's actually ambiltious.

Cristina:

They were both his students.

Carmen:

Yeah. And so that's what I mean. Like, I like he the difference in their treatment is not because he thinks that Teresa it sounds hot. It's because you know that this is actually a good student. And, you know,

Cristina:

yeah, and Aida is that person who's only there because her dad is rich. Yeah, she has no interest in it. She's not good. Yeah, she doesn't care for it and he knows.

Carmen:

Yeah. And so that's why he treats you that way. And so

Cristina:

Yeah, no en que caerse, then Ruben is talking to Aida and he's like, Well, I'm glad you're talking to the profe. You know, it's important to make

Carmen:

you took screenshots right? these connections. And then this where Aida, that tells me Ruben

Cristina:

I did, of his face. that Teresa is muerta hambre. What do they always say? No ti ne donde caerse or somethin like that? Yeah, I took a screenshot of this and I'll be posting it. But yeah, his his face is like it's like, I'm going to be her new sugar daddy

Carmen:

Poor oh? I'm gonna take advantage trying to find a way to exploit.

Cristina:

Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what

Carmen:

her financial situation but little does he know

Cristina:

Teresa is gonna exploit him.

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

they all don't know. She's just they don't even know me. playing them.

Carmen:

Yep. We go back to the competition. Mariano arrives and he's like, where is Teresa and they're like, Oh, she's not here yet. We're Dona Regufio is being annoying about it, she's with the profe isn't she

Cristina:

yeah, dona Refugio is being a sourpuss although Teresa shouldn't have been at the book signing

Carmen:

Yeah, I don't blame her on this I

Cristina:

it's a shitty sister thing to do. I'm dona Regufio's side for this part, not other times other times she's being an, exa, an exa-

Carmen:

what

Cristina:

an exagerada

Carmen:

oh

Cristina:

I kept fucking stuttering

Carmen:

I've never heard you stutter this much.

Cristina:

It was hard an exagerada that

Carmen:

she's being an, an oh it is hard. She's being an exagerada, there I said it.Yeah, this cuz that one is hard to mix with English.

Cristina:

Yeah, she's been una exagerada in other situations that we go back to the party. And Aida and Paulo are so bored. They're leaving.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Now he's being all nice probably cuz she tried to stand up for herself.

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

right.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

So then we go back to the competition, right? And then this girl messes up and Johnny's been an asshole about it. It's like, yeah, she's suck. You're gonna lose it or something when he's been so embarrassing. Then Don Armando is like, stop.

Carmen:

Oh my god, stop

Cristina:

and Johnny's like, Oh, no, it's just because I'm, because if she drops it

Carmen:

then it means Rosa's gonna win.

Cristina:

She's gonna get some points. And then Nachita is like, you seem to know a little bit too much about this. Why are you so interested

Carmen:

in what's going on? Yeah,

Cristina:

she knows.

Carmen:

Yeah, she knows. Then we go to Aurora and her dad. She's telling him about Mariano and how he's going to be studying medicine too. But he's, you know, years ahead of her years. So. So how old is he? When did he start seeing Teresa? I'm not liking this.

Cristina:

I know. I love Mariano But again,

Carmen:

it's not his fault. It's a novela.

Cristina:

it's the novella writers.

Carmen:

Yeah, who are normalizing this

Cristina:

novela writers who do it with Johnny and Rosa. Yeah. Then they do it again with Mariano and teresa. Yeah. And then again with Ruben right. Ruben is old. And although Teresa and Esperanza are both of age again. We don't know Esperanza's age.

Carmen:

She looks like 35. So maybe not her. Right.

Cristina:

But I think she's supposed to be younger.

Carmen:

You think she's supposed to be younger?

Cristina:

No, because she's only supposed to be a little older than Johnny and Johnny, we think is in his early 20s. Right?

Carmen:

Yeah. So she's in her mid 20s either way, but ruben is advantage of these young, poor young woman

Cristina:

so they do this again and again. Right. And it's not right. Yeah. Young or old men, young woman, young adult,

Carmen:

especially Teresa who like literally just graduating high school yesterday.

Cristina:

But but Teresa is gonna get them so yeah. So then yeah, we go back to Aurora Oh, right. The reason this came up because Mariano is years ahead. Oh, yeah.

Carmen:

Maybe she's exaggerating Aurora,

Cristina:

whatever. I don't know. She said anales, no she didn't. She said anos esta

Carmen:

she's not the vecindad, she wouldn't say anales.

Cristina:

No, you're right she didn't say that. That's some shit

Carmen:

Dona Refugio would say

Cristina:

Yeah. So

Carmen:

you know what I notice like, every time there's like a character that's in a novela that's supposed to be from la vecindad or like, you know, the rough side of town, they always use like it reteque whatever to describe anything.

Cristina:

Esta retefeo, yeah.

Carmen:

Rete or whatever. And I'm like, Yeah. What cuz, you know, if we were in a novela, we would be in the vecindad. But, but yeah, we would Teresa, because mami wouldn't let us talk like that. And so you know, how when Rosa talks that and Teresa was like, stop it. Don't say those ugly words. Yeah, that would be us

Cristina:

I still dreamed of being allowed to say

Carmen:

Chido

Cristina:

Chido and No mames. is

Carmen:

No mames buey,

Cristina:

I want to say no mames. It

Carmen:

it just doens't come out naturally?

Cristina:

Yeah, because we didn't grow up saying I know, like, cousins were like, No, mames, esta bien chido and we were like esta bien padre.

Carmen:

I wouldn't even say that. What would I even say?

Cristina:

Esta bien cool. I mean,

Carmen:

they're like, thes freadking pochas from the United States. Well, they did used to call mami a fresa.

Cristina:

So yeah, yeah. So then we, she says, I'm gonna go see Teresa, because it's her sister's competition. I just want to see how it went. So she leaves. Then we go back to the competition.

Carmen:

Oh, oh, this is when Teresa leaves them.

Cristina:

No, this is Aurora saying she's going to see Teresa.

Carmen:

Oh, right. Right. You're right. You're right.

Cristina:

Yeah. Then we go back to the competition. Then she's wearing, now she's wearing the fancy leotard.

Carmen:

Mm hmm. Because it's for herr solo. Yeah,

Cristina:

Johnny's been all extra again. She throws the ribbon up hella high. That ribbon goes up so high

Carmen:

I guess that's why people see the ribbon fall first and then notice her laying on the ground.

Cristina:

Yeah, why is the ribbon up so high. If she just fainted, how she was how was she strong enough to throw the ribbon up that high?

Carmen:

That's probably why she passed out.

Cristina:

And even in a normal competition that the ribbon doesn't go up that high. It's like coming down from the ceiling. Um, so yeah, she passes out. They pan out. The ribbon falls and they pan out and then there's Rosa laying on the floor.

Carmen:

And then everyone's like, Huh,

Cristina:

Que le paso, que le paso

Carmen:

yeah,

Cristina:

so Mariano runs to the rescue and he starts CPR. Then we cut to Teresa arriving.

Carmen:

She's barely arriving. and Ruben, of course, gave her a ride. I'm sorry, the scene. The scene

Cristina:

scene was hard.

Carmen:

triggered to me.

Cristina:

It was gross, Yeah.

Carmen:

So he's being a creep. He drops her off. They're flirting, but she's flirting with him back and then they see the ambulance. Right. And this is like what's going on? And then she kind of like

Cristina:

turns to get inside. Yeah, she like turns around to walk away and then or tries to turn around. He like leans in like a creep. No, you know what she's turning get around to leave and then she turns back to look at him

Carmen:

okay

Cristina:

when she turns back to look at him unasked, unwarranted unwanted

Carmen:

unsolicited

Cristina:

so yes, that's the word I was looking for. He leans

Carmen:

what the fuck? And then then when he she knows that he's in for a kiss and although she was flirting back, right she, this is was not consent. She did not expect this. Her eyes are like, are like, looking at her. She Of course changes her facial expression like, like, I was waiting for this, whatever, you know, but we see. I think she was kind of creeped out.

Cristina:

She was

Carmen:

you could see it in her face. And then yeah, like, like I had told you and then posted about it. This scene reminded me of when my best friend's uncle and I always bring this up to her and her mom. Like, I'm so sorry, like nah. You know, you don't need to apologize for it. On behalf of your creepy uncle. I just wanted to complain. Again and again. Every chance I get about this. Well, yeah, he i was i was there because I use to live with them. And he came stopped by looking for them. But nobody was home. Just me. And I'm like, oh, they're not here right now. And then he like tried to kiss me. He leaned into to try to kiss me on the cheek to say goodbye. And like bitch, we're not family. I don't fucking know you. And I was like, swerve. And anyway, remind me then I was like, Oh, I couldn't even watch it.

Cristina:

Yeah, I your face

Carmen:

disgusting.

Cristina:

It is it is it is gross. And that hasn't that exact thing hasn't happened to me. But like I unwanted touching.

Carmen:

Yeah. Oh, yeah.

Cristina:

And like, Guys, stop.

Carmen:

You know, you know what I hate when they walk by you. And then they like,

Cristina:

rub your back. Yeah.

Carmen:

Or touch you like your waist to like, yeah. And I'm like, do you do this to other men? No. So stop it.

Cristina:

Please start doing to other men. Actually, I would love that. Yeah,

Carmen:

no, I don't want anyone else to be harassed. I just want them to stop.

Cristina:

Only my husband can do this to me. Yeah, yeah. No one else ever touched me. No one. Because like, yeah, it happened so much. And yes, I was in the army. And so it happened so much. All these other guys thought they could do this to me. And I would go off. Never never ever, ever, ever touch me again. I did not ask for this. I did not want this. You can't pass by me. Yeah, I think I would it be seen as like the crazy person who can't handle being there. And I'm like, No, no, because I'd like nowhere in my contract to say that men would touch me an unsolicited-ly Nowhere in my contract that I'd say you can rub my back whenever you want. You can pass by me and just Just no. Get away. Get away with ew, gross. And it just makes me feel for other people who didn't do that. Because you know,

Carmen:

yeah, because not everyone.

Cristina:

It's hard. It's hard to do like

Carmen:

sometimes. And it's not even like a conscious conscience. I can't say that word. conscious. Okay. ESL? Yes. So it's not a conscious like, reaction. Sometimes. Sometimes you just freeze up because you don't know what to do you know? And then the men take that as a invitation. Right? Like, oh, she's not saying no. So it means yes. No,

Cristina:

it's like a What do you call it? It's like a level levels. Right? So they start with, like, here, like a little rub?

Carmen:

Yeah. Yeah.

Cristina:

And they start with like, a little handhold. And they'll start with like, they're testing the waters. Sort of like grooming. Yes. Yeah. And whoever can't whoever. It's hard for them to like react. Right. Previous people, previous survivors previous

Carmen:

Yeah. and

Cristina:

things like that. That's who they will victimize later.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Right not victim. Yeah.

Carmen:

But yeah, yes.

Cristina:

But yeah. And so you and I have never been like that we are always have been able to. We've had the capacity to be like, no, yeah. never do this again. And some some people, it makes them stop in their tracks. Some men. Yeah, stop them in their tracks. And they're like, Oh, this is not the person to mess with. Mm hmm. And they'll find someone else. Some people that doesn't stop them, right.

Carmen:

Yeah. Yeah.

Cristina:

Yeah, that whole thing was gross.

Carmen:

And so that's what Ruben is doing is testing the waters, seeing how far he can get with Teresa. But little does he know,

Cristina:

but Teresa also testing the waters to plot on her revenge.

Carmen:

Mm hmm.

Cristina:

So the EMTs arrive inside the gym to treat Rosa. Right. And then this is when Teresa sees Mariano And she's like, oh, did Rosa win? and he's like, actually, no, she had a stroke. Actually, she had a heart attack. He says, un infarto,

Carmen:

What did I say impacto

Cristina:

impacto. So he says infarto, oh, yeah,

Carmen:

that's heart attack? I thought that was stroke.

Cristina:

No,

Carmen:

she had a heart attack.

Cristina:

Mm hmm.

Carmen:

Okay,

Cristina:

and then she's like, somehow she still she's like torn about Rosa. Right? And then she's like, damn it the bus. I'm so poor that the bus

Carmen:

Why does she have to be a fucking liar? Like this Like, bitch, you didn't fucking leave because you were planning your revenge busy. You know what I mean? Like, it had nothing to do with you being poor. You got a ride here.

Cristina:

Yeah, but they can't know that.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Why does she have to be like maldita pobreza,

Carmen:

like this has nothing to do with

Cristina:

Because she had to ride the bus like

Carmen:

lying ass

Cristina:

and then in the midst of this tragedy she's still able to lie so well it impressive sociopath, Yeah. Then we cut to profe's house after

Carmen:

mhmmm

Cristina:

she, he's with sister she's telling him Teresa helped her a lot and then she's still she's still concerned that she he has a love interest for her and he's adamant that he does not brings up Paloma , who is Paloma?

Carmen:

you know she comes back later I'm pretty sure

Cristina:

she does yeah. So by Paloma is his ex who left them at the altar who she they say that right after

Carmen:

and ever since that happened he hasn't really dated.

Cristina:

Then we go back to the competition. Rosa is taken away in the ambulance. And they're going to hospital right they said we're going to this hospital and then Nachita is like oh that's where it's Esperanza works. And I thought she was gonna get caught again.

Carmen:

I'm like that that would be too much to happen in one episode, right?

Cristina:

Yeah, there we go back to Paulo always is always picking up his mom.

Carmen:

Where's her chauffeur? Are they not rich?

Cristina:

Where is her chauffeur? So um, she as she's walking into the car, he has pictures of Teresa that he's staring up and she grabs them rips them up. She's like, why are you still obsessing over her? And he's like, it doesn't matter if you rip these she's in here. And she's like, well if you get back with her, which Teresa does not want to do

Carmen:

but is this what happens? Is this her revenge? I don't remember. I don't want to jump ahead. But does she get back with him and then he or she? He loses all his money because of that

Cristina:

God and then she leaves him

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

that probably

Carmen:

I feel like it is that is it. But I'm not sure maybe this is some foreshadowing

Cristina:

Have you read Monte Cristo?

Carmen:

I think I did like a long time ago.

Cristina:

Well, like you know, the premise of it is like a guy, getting revenge on everyone that betrayed

Carmen:

Yeah, yeah.

Cristina:

So that that's Tessa right so yeah, she threatens to cut him off financially

Carmen:

if gets back with her and then now we see the family and the vecindad that they're all outside Teresa is spewing spewing some bullshit outlines about why she couldn't get there

Cristina:

El Maldito dinero,

Carmen:

el bus no me traho blah blah, blah.

Cristina:

We go back to the gym, Teresa is lying up a storm. We're about why she was late. Yeah, I was yelling maldito dinero everywhere. And one of them says, ay no seas asi

Carmen:

I think it's Dona Juana.

Cristina:

Yeah, she would cuz Dona Juana calls her on her bullshit. Only person.

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

And Mariano does too. And then we cut back to Aida. And she's talking with her mom. And she says, Oh my gosh, Mom, playing hard to get it worked. And then her mom was like, it's not that easy. Like, you can't just do it. Like you have to keep it up, blah, blah. And then You can't just do it once.

Carmen:

Yeah. And so then Ruben gets home. And then we go back to the hospital. And Teresa's worried about the money and then she's like, asked him for money. I don't care. That to herself. Yeah, he's like, I don't care.

Cristina:

I'll do anything for Rasa.

Carmen:

Yeah,

Cristina:

I would too. Then we could so Esperanza and she's like what a rough day was at work. She is actually working. This is the weekend job she got for herself.

Carmen:

Oh, okay. Okay.

Cristina:

Yeah

Carmen:

, I didn'tknow

Cristina:

I remember wondering okay, but she wasn't with the Ruben.

Carmen:

That was my same thought. And I was like, Wait, did we Ruben go see her after he dropped off Teresa?

Cristina:

That's what I thought too. But no, this is her actual job that she that she got?

Carmen:

Well, pretty soon she's gonna be able to work because Ruben's gonna forget her ass because of Teresa. Yeah, that's very true.

Cristina:

Then mariachi guy walks in.

Carmen:

Well, also her stepdad is there. We don't know his name.

Cristina:

Oh, yeah.

Carmen:

Yeah, he's just telling her,

Cristina:

pablito's dad?

Carmen:

Yeah, Pablito's dad and he's just saying how pablito was during the day, blah, blah, blah. And then Mariachi guy walks in. And he's like,Rosa is at the hospital where you work. Like, Oh, good thing. You just got home. Let's go back to the hospital. She's like, where you work.

Cristina:

So then we cut to still in the vecindad but outside, Aurora is arriving. Yeah. And Mariachi guy passing by? And she's like, where does Teresa live? And he's like, no, she's not here, her Her sister just had an accident, Dona Juana is with him too. And she's like, Oh, I'm gonna go see her too. And like she gives him a ride.

Carmen:

Mm hmm.

Cristina:

Then we go back to the hospital and out Auora walks in and sees Teresa and Mariano hugging but the sweet sweet friend she is She doesn't even

Carmen:

she was concerned. She just cares about what's happening and she just wants to help.

Cristina:

Yeah. So they say she's, Rosa is stable. Mariano is there, translating all the medical talk because shit doctors can't use lay terms,

Carmen:

right? It's like, should it not be part of your medical training? How to talk to people?

Cristina:

It should and you'd be surprised that how many doctors are bad.

Carmen:

I'm not surprised. Most of them are bad at it.

Cristina:

Yeah, you're right. It's surprising for some people, not for me,

Carmen:

not for me.

Cristina:

So they're doing everything they can. Teresa is like I want to see her and they're like, No, you can't see her gym lady says

Carmen:

that she won the competition even though there's better people there.

Cristina:

Yeah,

Carmen:

let me not insult her on her deathbed.

Cristina:

No, Carmen, you can't do that. That's wrong.

Carmen:

She fucking sucks. gymnastics.

Cristina:

So then we cut to profe's house and sister profe well profe is staring dramatically outside a window like All, gloomy melon. Melon melancholy I always pretended to do that when we were driving. And I would lean against the window and I pretend there was like some sad music playing and it was raining but there wasn't, we were like bumping Yeah,

Carmen:

yeah,

Cristina:

by Usher

Carmen:

, yeah.

Cristina:

And wasted days and wasted night.

Carmen:

Yeah, well, that one you could.

Cristina:

That song would work, Yeah. She walks in after that after he's staring out when and it's raining. And she's like, I'm sorry. I brought up your ex. I am responsible for your mood right now.

Carmen:

Like sister profe, this is not on you. You

Cristina:

sister profe take this off your shoulders.

Carmen:

You don't have to carry this weight.

Cristina:

This burden of your brother's emotions. Come on.

Carmen:

That's on him. It is Yeah, she needs therapy they both do actually. Probably both.

Cristina:

Yeah, everyone should go actually, everyone. Yeah, even before things get bad. It's been years since I went but it really helped me. It was good. It was good. I feel like I can manage anxiety now. That's good. I haven't had a panic attack. Ever since I started going to therapy. I only went for a few months because then I was like, Doc, I'm good. Now. Not everyone I know for a long time. Yeah. And then she was like, Okay, well, you have my number, if you need to come back to it. If you don't want an appointment, you just want to talk

Carmen:

Amazing

Cristina:

and I want to say the first one I tried was shitty. I did not vibe with her. I hated her.

Carmen:

Well, yeah, but that's like the same with doctors. You know in this like, you're not gonna match with everyone.

Cristina:

Yeah, it's okay to try it again later. If you try to once and it didn't work. It's okay. Go back

Carmen:

. Like Aliyah says try again. And you know what else I would thought about the Profe here. It's like why are his lips hella crusty? He really need some chapstick, some lip balm? Some Aquafor at night like there's no way this rich handsome man should be walking around with crusty lips

Cristina:

yeah right yeah take care of your lips profe.

Carmen:

looks more sick then Rosa does on her deathbed like Damn.

Cristina:

Damn, yeah.

Carmen:

So then we start telling him that he should go out and have fun start dating.

Cristina:

Go for Teresa

Carmen:

Yeah, and then profe has been a dramatic like the Juanga song. he's basically saying you no naci para amar

Cristina:

Yeah. Basically yeah. And then he's like, No, you know what the age difference between me and Teresa

Carmen:

Then he is saying it would be unethical for him to date Teresa and I'm like, the chair rubbing

Cristina:

says otherwise. And she's like, That doesn't matter. It's gonna be fine. The age difference doesn't matter, brother. Just go for it.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

No, yo no naci para amar

Carmen:

Nadie nacio para mi.

Cristina:

So let me go back to the hospital. Teresa is feeling super guilty. Now. This is okay.

Carmen:

It's not her fault. Of course, that Rosa fainted, and but you would have got to see her. But you know what? It partly is her fault because of the horrible advice that she gave her.

Cristina:

Yeah, she told her what did she tell her go after everything?

Carmen:

She didn't let Rosa tell her what was happening. Like it Rosa tried to tell her,

Cristina:

she ignored

Carmen:

you know about the bloodwork and the fainting, Like, you know, she tried to tell her everything. And that is almost like ignoring her because she's listening to the Marco Antonio Solis song and then then she didn't even hear hear what was going on. And she told her, it doesn't matter what, you know, obstacles you face, you just have to go for it. Go for your goals go for it doesn't matter.

Cristina:

And in this case, the obstacle was her health. Her health. And so she said your health doesn't matter. Go compte

Carmen:

and it's like no, you know, it's okay to take a step back. If your health doesn't allow you to be physically as physically active as you want. And if Rosa had done that she probably wouldn't have had an infarto

Cristina:

she would have been alive.

Carmen:

So.

Cristina:

Oh, wait, she hasn't died yet. Oh, we can say she's died and she hasn't had

Carmen:

Well, she dies in this episode. We're leading our way up to it. But we already said she died.

Cristina:

We're still leading up to it.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

So she's freaking out at everyone. She's like, How could you let her do this? If you knew she needed bloodwork?

Carmen:

I'm like,

Cristina:

the gym ladies like no, the doctor said it was Yeah, like this is not on anyone. You know, really? No one really knew the gravity of the situation because Rosa took Teresa's shitty advice. She only cared about competing. She only did what any teenager would do. Let's see. So then a nurse comes she's like everybody needs to go you guys need to go Dona nachita is like, damn Esperanza, esa enfermera es bien gacha. Tell her to calm her tits. Yeah, talk to your coworker and Esperanza is like I CAN'T. she fucking freaks her out on her mom's, this hospital, so big And so again she is

Carmen:

she's lashing out too.

Cristina:

Yeah, she's lashing out

Carmen:

left and right.

Cristina:

Yeah. So then Aurora, the vecindad leaves, Auroraa calls her dad

Carmen:

before they leave Dona Juana leaves money for Don Armando and Dona Refugio

Cristina:

Oh right.

Carmen:

And then they show Johnny. He's super sad. And then this is where we see aurora calling her dad and asking, you know, to pay for hospital bills and stuff.

Cristina:

For like the main cardiac guy, too. Yeah. Yeah, so the vecindad people are leaving, they're going to get a taxi. And they're all excited about riding in a taxi. But I got to say, being in Mexico visiting when you get to ride a taxi, and

Carmen:

honestly, it's amazing.

Cristina:

Because the bus is so violent

Carmen:

so scary. And plus I walk I mean,

Cristina:

not because of the people because of all

Carmen:

No. bus is so shaky and dangerous. And everyone drives like, wild. even remember? Wait? Yeah, you were there? I think Still, the bus, the bus hit the car behind them. And then they just they didn't even stop to see like, oh, what happened? How bad is it? They just left?

Cristina:

Yeah, they just kept going like, whatever the bitch was in my way. I'm trying

Carmen:

and then all those the next bus stop. Things that like mi abuelita and tias would say and it's like, if you don't, if you don't walk fast, and get on the bus and off the bus fast, they're gonna leave you and you're so on. And you're gonna fall. And that would be so scared. So scared.

Cristina:

and You walk so slow Carmen. And so it was like tramatizing for you So scared. I thought I was gonna die on the bus. So yeah, I understand why there's so excited about a taxi.

Carmen:

Yeah, I understand.

Cristina:

buses are wild. So we go back to the hospital Aurora says, I spoke to my dad, they're taking care of things. And if you need help, I'm gonna help you guys. Then Rosa is awake Don Armanod goes in. He's like, oh, oh, you won

Carmen:

This is sad.

Cristina:

here's your medal and she's like put it in my hand. And so he gives her the medal. And then, at some point, she's like, I just wanted you to be proud of me like Teresa like it's

Carmen:

like, even on her deathbed. She's like comparing herself to Teresa and like wishing.

Cristina:

What did they do? Yeah. What did they tell her? And maybe she would have pushed herself so hard if she didn't feel the need to have to compete for their love, because they obviously love Teresa more. Yeah, and now he regrets it. But you know what? You did this. You did this. Yeah. And then it's morning time. Dona Refugio is in there with Rosa,

Carmen:

I really like when Dona Refugio is in ther with her. Because she, um, she tries to put on like, a strong face and like, like, oh, when you get out of here, we're going to do this this like she she tries to be happy, you know, for Rosa

Cristina:

and optimistic.

Carmen:

Yeah.

Cristina:

Yeah. And then, Rosa asks her tells her about Johnny asks for her blessing, And she's like, of course, he's such a good guy. He's hard working.

Carmen:

I just like, I'm supportive of us being here. You know, not like, usually worried anxious that we see her.

Cristina:

Yeah, exactly. I mean, she's like, Look, when you get better, we're gonna go You guys are gonna go together somewhere or whatever. And she gets worse.

Carmen:

She does not get better. And then she dies.

Cristina:

She's like, do you think Teresa loves me, those are herlast words

Carmen:

That messed up man, and then she said,

Cristina:

Of course Teresa loves you. Teresa doesn't, No she does in her own

Carmen:

twisted weird way.

Cristina:

Yeah. Yeah. And then she flatlines it goes, Okay. Um, I don't know when the last time I was at a hospital was but from all the hospital shows that I've seen. When someone flatlines don't they rush in quickly because they hear that? No, it depends what show you're watching. So some shows everybody rushes in other shows is what Dona Refugio does. Help nurse nurse. So it depends what show but both both happening.

Carmen:

Okay, but there's like this like a protocol right? There's like a there's like a code and it goes off and real life people rush in.

Cristina:
